How long should I use Glandex for optimal benefits?

On average it takes 3-5 weeks to see the benefits of Glandex. Depending on the level of support your pet needs, you may see a difference sooner or it may take up to 2-3 months to see optimal improvements. If you haven't seen benefits after the first 4 weeks, we recommend that you safely double the dose or switch to our Glandex Advanced Vet Strength as some pets require a higher amount of Glandex (and fiber).

Can my dog or cat be kept on Glandex long term?

Yes, Glandex is safe for both long-term and as-needed use. It contains only all-natural ingredients, and is vet-recommended for maintaining anal gland health. Parents of pets with advanced anal gland concerns may prefer to use Glandex on a long-term basis for daily anal gland support.

What is the difference between Glandex Vet Strength Chews and the original Glandex Anal Gland Support Chews?

Glandex original strength and Glandex Advanced are patented for the same purpose—to support anal gland health in pets. The Glandex Advanced Vet Strength Chews are formulated with higher levels of some of the same all-natural ingredients as our best-selling original strength formula and include a few new ingredients specifically for pets who need a higher level of support.

How do I know when to switch from original Glandex to Glandex Advanced?

If your dog has been taking the original strength chews consistently for 3-5 weeks without seeing benefits, we recommend transitioning to our Advanced formula. Please note that when starting our Advanced formula you should do so at half the recommended amount for the first week, then slowly increase to the recommended amount.

Are Glandex Supplements safe or do they have any side effects?

All of our Glandex supplements are safe, contain all-natural ingredients, and are veterinarian-formulated and recommended. When starting your pet on our Glandex supplements–or transitioning your pet to the Advanced chews–giving half the recommended amount for the first week allows their bodies to adjust to the increased amounts of fiber and other key ingredients. While side effects are uncommon, it is possible for mild stomach upset to occur (similar to adjusting to high fiber diets).

Glandex Hygienic Wipes can be used as often as needed! They're useful for keeping the skin and fur on your pet's rear end clean after manual expressions, bowel movements, and outdoor or social play.

How do I use the Glandex Medicated Spray?

Ensure skin around the anal area is dry, then spray directly onto the affected area. Use clean hands to massage liquid into the skin until fully absorbed. Wash hands after use. Use no more than 4 times a day, or as directed by your veterinarian.
