Such a Difference

Going to the vet to get my dog’s anal glands expressed was traumatic (for all of us and it made me so sad). Our vet recommended Glandex and it has made such a difference for my dog Duke.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know when to switch from original Glandex to Glandex Advanced?

If your dog has been taking the original-strength chews consistently for 3-5 weeks without seeing benefits, we recommend transitioning to our Advanced formula. Please note that when starting our advanced dog anal gland support formula, you should do so at half the recommended amount for the first week beore slowly increasing to the recommended amount.

Do I have to start Glandex Supplements at a low dose?

As with all of our Glandex supplements, it is recommended to start at half of the recommended amount for the first week before gradually increasing to the full recommended amount (listed by weight on the label/packaging).

If you are starting your pet on the Glandex Advanced Vet Strength chews for the first time or transitioning from the original-strength Glandex chews, we also recommend starting with half the recommended amount for the first week and then increasing to the full amount.

Are Glandex Supplements safe or do they have any side effects?

All of our Glandex supplements are safe, contain all-natural ingredients, and are veterinarian formulated and recommended. When starting your pet on our Glandex Supplements or transitioning your pet to the advanced chews, giving half the recommended amount for the first week allows their bodies to adjust to the increased amounts of fiber and other key ingredients. While side effects are uncommon, it is possible for mild stomach upset to occur similar to adjusting to high fiber diets.

Do dog anal gland supplements help to stop butt scooting?

Yes, Glandex Anal Gland Supplements for dogs can help to stop scooting and biting or scratching of the butt caused by anal gland irritation. Oftentimes, a dog who needs their anal glands expressed will scoot on the ground or attempt to chew on the area to provide relief. Our anal gland powders and chews can help to provide relief for your pup!

How long should a dog take an anal gland supplement?

It is recommended that your dog uses the recommended daily amount for 3-5 weeks to help provide lasting relief. Usage should follow the directions on the packaging as well as follow recommendations from your veterinarian.
